WE ARE BLACK FIRST!

The Organization of Black American Unity is a steadfast advocate for the Black American Agenda and the advancement of Black people worldwide. Rooted in the principle of prioritizing Black liberation and empowerment above all else, our organization is committed to addressing the unique challenges faced by Black individuals in the United States while also standing in solidarity with Black communities across the globe.

**Black American Agenda**

Our primary focus is on advancing the Black American Agenda, which encompasses a comprehensive set of priorities aimed at addressing the historical and systemic injustices faced by Black Americans. From combating racial discrimination in housing, education, and employment to advocating for criminal justice reform and reparations for the legacy of slavery and systemic oppression, we are dedicated to advocating for policies and initiatives that uplift and empower Black Americans.

**Black First**

At the core of our organization is the principle of being Black first. We prioritize the needs and concerns of the Black community above all else, recognizing that our struggle for liberation is central to achieving justice and equality for all. By centering Black voices and experiences, we strive to create a more equitable and inclusive society for future generations.

**Solidarity with Black Communities Worldwide**

While our focus is on the Black American Agenda, we recognize that the struggle for Black liberation is global in nature. As such, we stand in solidarity with Black communities around the world, including those in the Caribbean, Africa, Europe, and beyond. We understand that the issues faced by Black people are interconnected and that our fight for justice transcends borders and nationalities.

**Intersectionality**

We acknowledge the diverse identities and experiences within the Black community and strive to address the intersecting forms of oppression that Black individuals may face. Whether it be related to nationality, political or social affiliation, socioeconomic status, gender, sexual orientation, or expression, we are committed to amplifying the voices of marginalized Black individuals and advocating for their rights and dignity.

**Foreign Matters**

While our primary focus is on domestic issues, we recognize the importance of engaging with foreign matters, particularly those impacting nations with significant populations of the African Diaspora. From advocating for decolonization and sovereignty in Africa to supporting efforts for immigration reform and refugee rights, we understand the interconnectedness of global struggles and the importance of solidarity among Black people worldwide.
